The Baby

After putting off this monumental decision for 2-3 years, and after plenty of debate, it's time to finally announce that we have a baby on the way.

A beautiful, black baby.

While I've been thrilled with the pictures from my recent trips to Egypt, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia, it's finally time to take the plunge. We've had four point-and-shoot cameras during the past four years (one unfortunate drop, one "donation" on the Metro, and one fell down a pit at Giza), and after a few Southeast Asian monsoons, the most recent edition is close to dying. Thus, it is high time to invest in something that will last longer than ten months. Furthermore, with a few epic trips lined up during the next six months (Budapest/Vienna in April and a divine mystery trip in August), it was time for a serious grown-up camera that will straight up dominate the historic sites and glorious landscapes that await. So yea, meet our new baby. Isn't she lovely?
