140 Seconds of Heaven

I've been to a lot of church services in my life. Some amazing. Some inspiring. Some confusing. Some life-changing. Some boring.

But after hanging out in churches for the past twenty-eight years, I have never, absolutely never, seen anything like this:

Gold. Pure gold.

Without question, that is the most gloriously hilarious two minutes of preaching in human history. Following a crazy fun, but exhausting, weekend (catching up with my high school hero, after a decade apart, until 3:00am on "Friday"; an awesome breakfast with church friends early Saturday; and then a field trip to Baltimore for the National Aquarium and an Elton John concert), I got home around 1:30am on "Saturday." Resisting the urge to crash, I wasted a few minutes on Facebook and found the above link posted by one of my new dear friends.

Then I watched it five times.

In a row.

However, not only is that video 140 seconds of pure hilarity, but the dude is spot on. Whether you're down with J.C. or not, life is too short, too precious, and too wonderful, to hold a grudge. Although no "F.U."s were dropped, one of our pastors semi-recently gave an awesome sermon about how not forgiving those who have wronged us truly eats us alive. Rather than stewing and brewing about what so-and-so said or did, you just gotta let it go, show some love, and move on.

So after re-taking that message to heart, as well as the glorious video linked above, to all those who have been hating on me for going to an Elton John concert or have said some unfortunate things about Britney Spears' recent hit singles, F' all y'all!

Oh, and God bless.
